Respiratory Therapy Manager

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a full time Respiratory Therapy Manager.  Qualifications include:

  • Graduate of an approved program of respiratory care required.
  • Must maintain licensure with State of Michigan.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Extensive experience in and possessing a strong understanding of all areas of respiratory care including but not limited to diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, rehabilitation, home care, and patient, family and public education.
  • Clinical evaluation and assessment skills are required for all age groups of patients served by the facility including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

2 - BCMH Physician Office RN, LPN, CNA, or Medical Assistant

Baraga County Memorial Hospital Physician Group is seeking two RNs, LPNs, CNAs or Medical Assistants.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for appropriate level of experience.
  • One year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Must maintain current licensure in the State of Michigan if required.
  • Must be BCLS/CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Demonstrates stress management, clinical competence, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Radiographer / CT Technologist

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a - 4 day per week Radiographer / CT Technologist.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and able to meet the requirement for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
  • If not currently trained in CT will be required to be trained for this position.
  • On the job orientation is necessary to become familiar with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Verbal ability is necessary to read and understand medical and technical materials and instructions: to communicate with medical, technical and clerical personnel as well as hospital administrators and patients.
  • Numerical ability is necessary to detect errors in written material and statistical data and when writing and proof reading records and reports.
  • Spatial perception is necessary to visualize relationships of internal organs in relation to radiographic tube and receptor in order to obtain radiographs of diagnostic value.
  • Form perception is necessary to perceive detail in Radiographic Images to determine acceptability of exposure.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary to adjust machine controls and arrange, attach and adjust supportive devices.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a - 4 day per week Nuclear Medicine Technologist.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or registry eligible (NMTCB).
  • Must have two or three years experience in Nuclear Medicine and Laboratory work before qualifying for this position.
  • On the job training to become familiar with the hospital’s operation will be one month.
  • Should be familiar with all aspects of nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Should be interested in all phases of Nuc Med Services, including research to develop new methods and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning the patient and family, staff members, administration and physicians.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

2 - Perioperative Scrub RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking two - 4 day per week Perioperative Scrub RNs.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Must maintain current licensure for professional nursing practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care facility required.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous scrub nurse experiences preferred.
  • Must maintain Chemotherapy certification or be certified within 6 months.
  • Demonstrates stress management by remaining composed during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in administration of quality nursing care to patients.
  • Demonstrates personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability for self and team members.
  • Demonstrates use of rehabilitative-restorative nursing techniques appropriate to the need of the patient.
  • Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with staff members, administrators, physicians and the public.
  • Accepts assigned duties within his/her knowledge, experience and educational training.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning the patient and family, staff members, administration and physicians.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

PRN Perioperative Scrub RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Perioperative Scrub RN.  Qualifications include:

3 Day per Week RN Position Available

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a 3 day per week (12 hour shifts) RN.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.

Home Care and Hospice PRN CNA

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Home Care/Hospice CNA. Qualifications include:

  • Must be a high school or graduate or have a GED from an approved program.
  • Must be have successfully completed a formal nurse aide program and must maintain and have current certification.
  • Must successfully complete a state approved competency evaluation within four months of hire.
  • Must be able to express ideas logically.
  • Must be CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Hospice philosophy.
  • Demonstrates stress management, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values at BCMH.

 

General Maintenance Worker

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a 5 day per week General Maintenance Worker.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have a high school diploma.  Advanced education preparation is required.
  • Must have training or experience in mechanical, plumbing, electrical and HVAC equipment maintenance and repair. 
  • Must also have knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC repairs.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers' license and good driving record.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Health Unit Coordinator

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a 3 day per week Health Unit Coordinator.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Must have clerical experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must be able to handle stress and pressure while remaining composed.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, numerical skills and have a desire to succeed and grow.
  • Must be able to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Must be a positive role model and be willing to perform other duties within knowledge and training.

Health Unit Coordinator

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a 2 day one week and 3 day next week rotating schedule, Health Unit Coordinator.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have clerical experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Must be able to handle stress and pressure while remaining composed.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, numerical skills and have a desire to succeed and grow.
  • Must be able to accept responsibility and accountability.

2 - Housekeepers

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking two - 4 day per week Housekeepers.  Qualifications include:

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must know how to use common house cleaning devices and cleaning products such as brooms, mops, floor waxes, scouring pads, etc, to keep areas clean.
  • Must know how to operate and care for equipment such as stripper, scrubber, waxer and buffer.
  • Must know how to measure cleaning solutions and be alert to hazards.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance or have own transportation to other BCMH outbuildings.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

Join Our Volunteer Program!

BCMH has an active volunteer program at their facility. If you are looking for a way to contribute to your community by volunteering your time, we would love to have the opportunity to have you as a part of our organization. Volunteer greeters are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm to greet the public and provide directions and guidance to those who are new to the facility. This rewarding opportunity can require as little or as many hours as you would like to donate - there are no minimum requirements.
