Radiographer/CT Technologist

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Radiographer/CT Technologist to join our team.

  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school and able to meet the requirement for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART).
  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • If not trained in CT will be required to be trained for this position.
  • On the job orientation is necessary to become familiar with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Verbal ability is necessary to read and understand medical and technical materials and instructions: to communicate with medical, technical, and clerical personnel as well as hospital administrators and patients.
  • Numerical ability is necessary to detect errors in written material and statistical data and when writing and proof reading records and reports.
  • Spatial perception is necessary to visualize relationships of internal organs in relationship to radiographic tube and receptor in order to obtain radiographs of diagnostic value.
  • Form perception is necessary to perceive detail in radiographic images to determine acceptability of exposure.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values at BCMH.

 

Clinic RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Clinic RN to join our team.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Registered Nurses.
  • One year of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Must maintain current licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BCLS/CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to use various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures, knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates stress management, clinic competence, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values at BCMH.

 

Clinic Receptionist / Check Out Clerk

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Clinic Receptionist / Check out Clerk to join our team.

  • Must be a high school graduate or GED.
  • Must have basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to deal with the public, patients, and staff in a position of moderate to high stress.
  • Ability to handle busy, multi-line telephone in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Must possess typing and/or data processing skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is extremely helpful.
  • Must have the desire to learn and cross-train.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Part Time Dietary Assistant

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Part Time Dietary Assistant to join our team.

  • Must be a high school graduate or GED.
  • Must have or become certified in the Serv Safe program or other state accredited certificate food safety program by the end of the probationary period.
  • Must have cooking experience with quantity food preparation.
  • Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and be familiar with seasoning required and cooking time involved.  Must have firsthand knowledge of cooking characteristics of various cuts of meat, and know names and contents of various types of dishes.  Must be able to make simple estimates relative to quantities of food required.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Call In Housekeeper

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a call in Housekeeper to join our team.

  • Must be a high school graduate or GED.
  • Must know how to use common cleaning devices and cleaning products such as brooms, mops, floor waxes, scouring pads, etc, to keep areas clean.
  • Must know how to operate and care for equipment such as stripper, scrubber, waxer, and buffer.
  • Must know how to measure cleaning solutions and be alert to hazards.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

3 Day per Week RN Positions Available

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a three day per week (12 hour shifts / every third weekend) RNs.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Must maintain current licensure for professional nursing practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.
  • Demonstrates stress management by remaining composed during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in administration of quality nursing care to patients.
  • Demonstrates personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability for self and team members.
  • Demonstrates use of rehabilitative-restorative nursing techniques appropriate to the need of the patient.
  • Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with staff members, administrators, physicians and the public.
  • Accepts assigned duties within his/her knowledge, experience and educational training.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning the patient and family, staff members, administration and physicians.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

Join Our Volunteer Program!

BCMH has an active volunteer program at their facility. If you are looking for a way to contribute to your community by volunteering your time, we would love to have the opportunity to have you as a part of our organization. Volunteer greeters are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm to greet the public and provide directions and guidance to those who are new to the facility. This rewarding opportunity can require as little or as many hours as you would like to donate - there are no minimum requirements.
