5 Day per Week Covid Screener

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a five day per week Covid Screener.  Qualifications and duties include:

The Covid Screener duties include but are not limited to, greeting and assisting patients and visitors, administers Covid-19 screening questionnaires to each visitor, checks temperatures using non-contact infrared thermometers. Ensures all visitors entering the building are screened. Ensures all visitors/employees are utilizing face masks.

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with with basic computer literacy.
  • Must possess typing skills.
  • Ability to deal with the public, patients, and fellow staff in a position of moderate to high stress.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

4 Day per Week Perioperative RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a four day per week Perioperative RN.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Must maintain current licensure for professional nursing practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care facility required.
  • Previous recovery room or special care unit (i.e. ICU/CCU) experience preferred.
  • Must maintain Chemotherapy certification or be certified within 3 months.
  • Previous experience in Chemotherapy Infusion preferred.
  • Demonstrates stress management by remaining composed during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in administration of quality nursing care to patients.
  • Demonstrates personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability for self and team members.
  • Demonstrates use of rehabilitative-restorative nursing techniques appropriate to the need of the patient.
  • Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with staff members, administrators, physicians and the public.
  • Accepts assigned duties within his/her knowledge, experience and educational training.
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning the patient and family, staff members, administration and physicians.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

PRN Perioperative Scrub RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Perioperative Scrub RN.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Must maintain current licensure for professional nursing practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care facility required.
  • A minimum of 2 years previous scrub nurse experiences preferred.
  • Must maintain Chemotherapy certification or be certified within 6 months.
  • Demonstrates stress management by remaining composed during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in administration of quality nursing care to patients.
  • Demonstrates personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability for self and team members.
  • Demonstrates use of rehabilitative-restorative nursing techniques appropriate to the need of the patient.
  • Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with staff members, administrators, physicians and the public.
  • Accepts assigned duties within his/her knowledge, experience and educational training.

3 Day per Week RN Positions Available

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is seeking a three day per week (12 hour shifts / every third weekend) RNs.  Qualifications include:

  • Must have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Must maintain current licensure for professional nursing practice in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BLS/CPR and ACLS certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association guidelines.
  • Demonstrates stress management by remaining composed during stressful situations.

  • Demonstrates personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability for self and team members.

4 Day per Week Home Care/Hospice RN & a PRN RN

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a 4 day per week and a PRN Home Care/Hospice RN to join our team.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Registered Nurses.
  • Must be BCLS/CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence in administration of quality nursing care to patients.
  • Must maintain current licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Demonstrates use of rehabilitative-restorative nursing techniques appropriate to the patient need.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Hospice philosophy.
  • Demonstrates stress management, clinic competence, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values at BCMH.

 

Home Care and Hospice PRN CNA

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a PRN Home Care/Hospice CNA to join our team.

  • Must be a high school or graduate or have a GED from an approved program.
  • Must be have successfully completed a formal nurse aide program and must maintain and have current certification.
  • Must successfully complete a state approved competency evaluation within four months of hire.
  • Must be able to express ideas logically.
  • Must be CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the Hospice philosophy.
  • Demonstrates stress management, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values at BCMH.

 

Clinic RN, LPN, or CNA

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a Clinic RN, LPN or CNA to join our team.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school for RNs, LPNs, or CNAs.
  • One year of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Must maintain current licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Must be BCLS/CPR certified every 2 years according to the Michigan Heart Association Guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to use various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures, knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures, basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates stress management, clinic competence, personal acceptance of responsibility and accountability, promotes positive interpersonal relationships and maintains confidentiality.

4 Day Per Week Housekeeper

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a 4 Day Per Week Housekeeper to join our team.

  • Must be a high school graduate or GED.
  • Must know how to use common cleaning devices and cleaning products such as brooms, mops, floor waxes, scouring pads, etc, to keep areas clean.
  • Must know how to operate and care for equipment such as stripper, scrubber, waxer, and buffer.
  • Must know how to measure cleaning solutions and be alert to hazards.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
  • Must demonstrate a daily commitment to the Standards of Behavior and Core Values of BCMH.

 

Call In Housekeeper

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a call in Housekeeper to join our team.

  • Must be a high school graduate or GED.

Join Our Volunteer Program!

BCMH has an active volunteer program at their facility. If you are looking for a way to contribute to your community by volunteering your time, we would love to have the opportunity to have you as a part of our organization. Volunteer greeters are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm to greet the public and provide directions and guidance to those who are new to the facility. This rewarding opportunity can require as little or as many hours as you would like to donate - there are no minimum requirements.
