The “Corner Café”, which includes a new state of the art kitchen, is used to serve meals to all of the patients including, inpatients, patients’ in the emergency room, recovery room, those receiving I.V. therapy and chemotherapy, in addition to hospital employees. The “Corner Café” is also open to the general public for meals, snacks and beverages. The seating area of the café is open 24 hours a day for vending. Hot food is served from noon to 1:30 p.m. for lunch and 5:00-6:00 p.m. for dinner. Nutritional information is available for food items and meals in accordance with the 2011 Healthy Food Hospitals Campaign.
The Baraga County Memorial Hospital Dietary Department prepares and serves meals to patients that are attractive and satisfying under high standards of sanitation. BCMH strives to cater to food preferences so meals can be enjoyable while still meeting therapeutic and nutritional needs. The dietary department is overseen by a Certified Dietary Manager and a Registered Dietitian to assure the highest quality of nutritional care.
